What is an image resizer?
This page is a browser image resizer for a file you already have. You add a photo, set a new width and height in pixels, and download a JPG, PNG, or WebP. Searches like resize image, photo resizer, pic resize, jpg resize, and resize photo all want that same job: a still with new pixel dimensions, not a new camera shot. You can also pick a social media size, or bulk resize a small batch of up to 30 photos with the same width and height.
It is not Image Compressor. Reduce image size usually means a smaller file in KB. That URL changes quality and, if you pick a target, file weight. This page changes how many pixels sit on each side. A 4000-pixel photo scaled to 1080 px is often lighter too, but the control here is width and height, not 100 KB.
It is not Aspect Ratio Changer. That page rewrites 16:9, 1:1, or 9:16 with crop, pad, or stretch. It is not Crop Image. Crop throws pixels away inside a box. It is not Upscale Image. Making a 200-pixel icon into a poster here only stretches it. The file never goes to our server. JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, and AVIF are welcome. HEIC, TIFF, and PDF are declined.

What you can do here
One photo is enough. Bulk resize a small batch of up to 30 files with the same pixel size, including social media sizes.
Set width and height in pixels
Type the width, the height, or both. Lock aspect ratio so a portrait does not become a wide smear. Use this for a web hero, a thumbnail, or an avatar.
Scale by percentage
50% halves both sides. 200% doubles them. Use percentage when you do not need an exact 1920-pixel width.
Social media sizes
Open Social media and pick Instagram (1080×1080, 1080×1350, 1080×1920), Facebook (170×170, 1200×630, 820×312), X (1600×900, 1500×500), YouTube (1280×720), or TikTok (1080×1920). Drag the box on the photo. The download is that rectangle at those pixels, with no stretch and no black bars.
Live preview
This image resizer does not wait for an upload. What you see in the box is what you save. Identity under the preview shows the filename and the new pixel size.
Stays on this device
JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, or AVIF. Each file under 40 MB, up to 30 photos. HEIC, TIFF, and PDF are declined. Output width and height cap at 8192 px so the tab stays usable.
How to resize an image in 3 steps
Works on a phone or a computer. No account.
Add a photo
Drop a JPG, PNG, or WebP on the dashed box, or pick a file. One photo is enough. You can add more if you want the same pixel size on a batch.

Set pixels or a percentage
Width and height start at the original size. Type a new pair, lock the ratio, pick a width preset, scale by percent, or open Social media and drag the box on the photo. Original peeks at the source. Resize writes the new size.

Download the resized file
View it here, copy it, or download JPG, PNG, or WebP. Two or more photos download as a ZIP with the same pixel size on each file.

Why resize here
This page only rewrites pixel width and height of a still you already have.
No upload
The file never goes to our server. Closing the tab clears it from this image resizer. That is the same privacy rule as Crop Image and the rest of this site.
The preview is the download
You do not press Resize, then wait, then guess which file came back. What you see in the preview is what you save. Identity shows the filename and the new pixels.
Honest about other apps
We do not walk you through Photoshop, Preview, Paint, or Canva. If you need those menus, use those apps. If you need a resized JPG now, use this box.
Not a KB compressor and not a ratio crop
A 100 KB cap is Image Compressor. A 16:9 frame is Aspect Ratio Changer. This image resizer only sets width and height.
Limits and tips
- Lock aspect ratio unless you want stretch. Unlocking width and height independently warps faces and logos.
- Making a small photo much larger here only stretches pixels. For a sharper enlarge, use Upscale Image.
- A smaller file in KB with the same pixels is Image Compressor. Reduce image size in that sense lives there.
- Each file must stay under 40 MB. Output width and height stay at or under 8192 px.
- HEIC from iPhone, TIFF, and PDF are rejected. Save a JPG or PNG first.
- PNG keeps transparency. JPG fills empty pixels with white because JPEG has no alpha.
- Width presets set the width in pixels. Height follows when the ratio is locked.
- Social media sizes lock a box to Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, or TikTok pixels. Drag it on the photo. Download scales that rectangle to the platform size. A 100 KB cap is still Image Compressor.
- You own the photo you add. This page is not legal advice and does not grant a copyright license.
Jobs that finish on this page
These are jobs this image resizer actually finishes. Software-menu searches stay off this list on purpose.
A web hero that is too wide
A camera JPG around 4000 px that only needs to be 1920 wide on a site. Lock the ratio, set width 1920, download JPG.
Input: One large JPG photo
Setting: Width 1920, ratio locked
Output: One 1920-wide JPG
Caveat: This is not a CMS plugin and not a responsive srcset factory.
A square avatar
A portrait that should become 400×400. Unlock the ratio only if you accept stretch; otherwise crop to square first, then set 400×400 here.
Input: One PNG or JPG
Setting: 400×400, ratio unlocked only after a square crop
Output: One small square PNG or JPG
Caveat: Crop Image is the page that trims to a square box.
An Instagram square from a landscape
A 1920×1080 still that should become 1080×1080. Open Social media, Instagram Post. Drag the square onto the part you want. Download is 1080×1080 with no bars.
Input: One landscape JPG
Setting: Social media · Instagram Post 1080×1080 · drag the box
Output: One 1080×1080 JPG of the chosen rectangle
Caveat: This is not a live check of Instagram’s current spec, and it is not a 100 KB compressor.
The same size on a small batch
A folder of product shots that all need a 1080 long edge, or the same social media size. Add up to 30, pick the size, download the ZIP. That is bulk resize on this page, not a desktop folder watcher.
Input: Several JPG files
Setting: Width 1080, ratio locked
Output: A ZIP of resized files
Caveat: This is not a desktop folder watcher or a 100-file factory.

Use this page
Change width and height in pixels
Use this URL to change pixel width and height. Type pixels, scale by percentage, or pick a social media size. A small batch of up to 30 files uses the same size. Compressing to 100 KB and changing 16:9 live on other URLs.

Image resizer FAQ
What is an image resizer? +
An image resizer changes the pixel width and height of a still you already have. Add a picture, set pixels or a percentage, download a new file. Resize image and photo resizer are the same job. It is not a camera, not a crop box, and not a 100 KB compressor.
How do I resize an image online? +
Add a JPG, PNG, or WebP. Width and height start at the original size. Type the pair you need, or scale by percent, then download. You do not need Photoshop, Preview, Paint, or a desktop installer for this resize image online job.
Is this image resizer free? +
Yes. You do not create an account. There is no paid unlock for the pixel size itself, and the file stays in this tab.
Does resize image keep the aspect ratio? +
Yes, when Lock aspect ratio is on. Changing width then updates height, and the other way around. Unlock it only if you want stretch. The lock is on by default so faces stay in proportion.
Is this the same as reduce image size? +
No. Those searches usually mean a smaller file in KB. Use Image Compressor for a 100 KB or 500 KB cap. This page only sets width and height in pixels. A smaller pixel grid is often lighter, but the control is not a kilobyte target.
Can I resize a photo on iPhone or Android? +
Yes. Use Safari or Chrome on the phone. Add a JPG or PNG, set pixels or a percentage, then download. You do not install an app or a Chrome extension. iPhone Photos does not write this resized file.
How do I resize an image in Photoshop, Preview, Paint, or Canva? +
This page does not open those apps. Searches like how to resize image in Photoshop, Preview, Paint, or Canva want a menu in that software. If you already have a JPG or PNG export, drop that file here to resize image online and download a new still. We will not pretend this URL is their tutorial.
Can I jpg resize or pic resize without converting first? +
Yes. Add a JPG or any supported still, set pixels, pick JPG, PNG, or WebP under Download as. You do not need a separate converter URL for a photo you already have.
Will making the photo larger keep it sharp? +
No. Stretching a small still to a large pixel size only invents blurry pixels. If you need a sharper enlarge, use Upscale Image.
Do I need an image resizer app or a Chrome extension? +
No. The tool runs in the tab. There is no Android app, no iPhone app, and no Chrome extension to install.
What formats can I resize? +
JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, and AVIF. Each file must stay under 40 MB. HEIC, TIFF, PDF, and SVG are rejected. Convert those to JPG or PNG first, then add the converted file.
Can I bulk resize more than one image at once? +
Yes. This image resizer can bulk resize a small batch. Add up to 30 photos. The same width, height, percentage, or social media size applies to each file. Download one, or download all as a ZIP. It is not a desktop folder watcher or a 100-file factory.
Is this ImageResizer.com? +
No. That search is often a brand query for that site. This URL is splitimage.im. The job is still pixels or percentage, then download. We do not claim their brand.
Can I resize for Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, or TikTok? +
Yes. Open Social media, pick the platform, then a size. Instagram has Post 1080×1080, Portrait 1080×1350, and Story 1080×1920. Facebook has Profile 170×170, Post 1200×630, and Cover 820×312. X has Post 1600×900 and Header 1500×500. YouTube thumbnail is 1280×720. TikTok video is 1080×1920. A blue box sits on the photo. Drag it to choose the part you want. Download is that rectangle at those pixels, with no stretch and no black bars. These are common export sizes, not a live check of each app. A file under 100 KB is still Image Compressor on this site.
Ready to resize the image
Add a photo above. Set width and height, a percentage, or a social media size. A small batch is fine. Download when the pixels are right.
