How to post your split carousel on Instagram
This is for people who already used our Carousel Splitter or Panorama Splitter and now need to upload the files on Instagram.
Rule of thumb: one post, left to right, same order as the file numbers (1, then 2, then 3…). Do not use the reverse order from profile grids.
Upload order (look at this first)

Our export names slides so left is 1 and right is last. Keep that order when multi-selecting on Instagram.

Reverse order is for 3×3 profile puzzles, not for a swipe carousel.
What you get from the tool
The splitter crops one wide image into several 4:5 slides, numbers them, and packs a ZIP. Each file is one Instagram carousel panel.

Same flow as on the tool page: one source → numbered slides → post in that order.

Keep every slide 4:5 so Instagram does not crop each panel differently.
Do this on Instagram
1. Get the files ready
- In the Carousel Splitter, generate slides and download the ZIP (or save each slide).
- Open the folder. Check names: slide 1 = left, then 2, 3…
- Do not shuffle or rename them out of order.
2. Make one carousel post
- Open Instagram → create a new feed post.
- Turn on multi-select (select more than one photo).
- Tap file 1 first, then 2, then 3… in that order.
- Swipe the in-app preview. The story should move left → right smoothly.
- Add caption → Share. Still one post.
If it looks wrong
- Swipe jumps around — you multi-selected out of order. Delete the draft and pick 1 → 2 → 3 again.
- Each slide became its own post — that is not a carousel. Put all slides in one post.
- You used reverse “grid” order — reverse is only for profile puzzles. Carousel is normal 1 → 2 → 3.
- Edges look cropped — re-export from the tool with all slides still 4:5, then post again.
FAQ
Same order as a 3×3 grid?
No. Carousel = 1 → 2 → 3 in one post. 3×3 profile = reverse order, separate posts.
Does the tool number the files?
Yes. Keep those numbers. The tool note also says: upload left to right as one Instagram carousel post.
Panorama splitter?
Same idea: left panel first, then the next panels, still one carousel post.
